Old Dalmatia Split Poster
See Split the way it looked at the Adriatic art echibition in Vienna in 1913. This framed matte canvas print brings a sunlit day in Split to your wall. The warm ochres, deep blue sky, and crisp architectural lines create a calm, nostalgic scene — as if you’ve just stepped off a quay and can hear gulls and distant conversation. The pine frame and high-quality matte finish give the artwork a subtle, natural border that complements coastal, vintage, or travel-inspired interiors. Hang it in an entryway to set a welcoming tone, above a console for a curated gallery look, or in a reading nook where afternoon light can bring out the print’s lively colors.

History isn't what we think it is. Often the past seems behind us but that just isn't so, it's really inside.
We already think of our family this way. A child has her mother's eyes, her grandmother's smile, her grandfather's curly hair.
Why can't a place be like that?
This is the romance of Dalmatia, that 2,000 years of history are right at your fingertips. Austrian forts look down on Venetian palaces, next door are the ruins of a Roman villa, and hidden in the earth below your feet are treasures from ancient Illyria.
The Time Traveler's Guide To Dalmatia grew out of my desire to capture this idea and share it with you: those generations of love and war and triumph in the Adriatic still live. We can still see them if only we try.
